Barbara Abelin

Barbara Abelin was formerly Vice President of Human Resources for Cubic Corporation in San Diego, California.  Barbara’s expertise includes Organizational Development, Employee Relations and Training. Barbara has created and presented programs on Leadership, Performance Management, Anti-Harassment and numerous others topics for staff throughout the U.S., Canada, New Zealand and Mexico. Barbara has been a guest lecturer for UCSD, San Diego State and various HR Discussion Groups. She served as President of the San Diego Science Alliance for several years and is currently active in STEM programs in San Diego. 

 

Larry Abelin

Larry Abelin has over 25 years experience in both the private and public sectors as a legal and labor relations professional. He has worked for Sanyo, Pepsi-Cola and the County of San Diego. Larry has lectured at the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley, taught progressive discipline for HR professionals for the County of San Diego and conducted training for numerous private and public entities across the United States. He has negotiated numerous collective bargaining agreements with the Communications Workers of America, The Teamsters Union and the County Counsel Association, Service Employees Union and worked with various county and cities throughout Northern California. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego Employers Association, Project Concern and is currently on the Board of The John Brockington Foundation. Larry is happily married and has one incredible son, Alex.
